- In anticipation of a decision in Fall 2023, members are getting pieces into place including transportation methods, water use concerns, and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.
- "Green" hydrogen is produced when renewable energy sources like solar or wind are used to break the chemical bonds of water (H2O) to produce oxygen (O2) and hydrogen (H2); nuclear energy can also be used for "pink" hydrogen.
- Leveraging Arizona's natural energy sources could help turn water into fuel and create an economic opportunity as an energy exporting state.• Issues such as water consumption, escaped H2 gas reactions in the atmosphere, managing existing pipelines, and replacing nuclear power with solar remain.
