Arizona has a rapidly growing CarbonTech industry, which involves the removal of CO2 from the environment and industrial processes through carbon capture, storage, conversion and more.

- An example of this technology in action is Block-Lite, a family-owned manufacturer in Flagstaff which is partnering with Aircapture and CarbonBuilt to reduce emissions by up to 70%. 
 - The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provided $500 billion in funding toward leading-edge technologies such as carbon capture and storage and clean hydrogen. 
 - Multiple initiatives are taking place within the state to reduce its carbon footprint, including a solar-powered cobalt sulfate production facility in Yuma County, ASU's MechanicalTree on Temper's campus and collaborations between universities and energy providers to build a clean hydrogen ecosystem. 
 - Flagstaff City Council has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
